Papilio is a big genus of swallowtail butterflies within the household Papilionidae.

The only agent of the people Papilionini, the genus consists of about 200 clinically acknowledged types.

The newly-identified member of the genus, called Papilio solstitiuscomes from the North American Papilio glaucus types group.
