Those who keep in mind PC video gaming in the days before Steam might have fond memories of the “huge box” product packaging that made those video games stick out as rack eye sweet and popular at home antiques. Today, PC video gaming platform GOG is wanting to reignite a few of the fond memories for those days by including downloadable 3D designs and , collapsible high-res product packaging scans for a handful of PC video games on the platform.

So far, the “Printable Big Box” collection on GOG is restricted to simply 5 video games: Armikrog Descent Gunman: Codename 47 Mystand Star Trek: 25th AnniversaryGamers searching those video games on the GOG shop will now see “3D Boxes” noted amongst the consisted of “Goodies” before purchase. Owners of those video games on GOG can download a ZIP file including a variation of package art as an animated 3D things file (in an easy-to-open GLB format) and a “flat design template” in PDF, SVG, and Adobe Illustrator formats. Those downloads enable what GOG calls “an appropriate papercraft task for anybody who misses out on racks loaded with PC video game boxes.”
