The Trump administration last month chose to leave of the case that started throughout the Biden period. The United States blindsided states by revealing a settlement with Live Nation throughout the trial, requiring states to take control of the lead function.

“The Trump administration quit the battle and wished to let these business off the hook quickly,” Arizona AG Kris Mayes stated today. “But we kept defending every Arizonan who has actually been charged excessive by this prohibited monopoly and we won.”

The Trump administration consented to stop pursuing a separation of Live Nation and Ticketmaster as part of the settlement. The terms apparently consisted of modifications to organization practices and civil charges of approximately $280 million for states that chose to sign up with the settlement. Just 6 states signed up with the offer, and they will apparently get an overall of $18.6 million.

Gail Slater, a previous assistant attorney general of the United States who led the United States Justice Department’s antitrust department from March 2025 to February 2026, praised states on the win. Slater was a Trump candidate who appeared to desire harder antitrust enforcement, however resigned after less than a year. Report stated she was required to leave after disagreements with crucial Trump authorities.
